Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom is widely recognized as the
nation’s leading elected officials in the medical and recreational marijuana fields.
As a Nevada State Senator Segerblom authored Nevada’s 2013 Medical Marijuana law and was Co-Chair of the successful 2016 ballot initiative campaign which approved recreational marijuana.
Nevada’s marijuana laws are considered to be the country’s most business
friendly. To that end, Segerblom is a frequent speaker in support of marijuana
legalization and the benefits that marijuana businesses bring to state and local
Segerblom, a fourth generation Nevada legislator, has served as a County
Commisioner covering the Las Vegas Strip since 2019, and previously served in
the Nevada Legislature from 2006 to 2018. He served in the White House under
President Carter and was State Chair of the Nevada Democratic Party from 1990-94.
A practicing attorney, Segerblom has been listed as one of Nevada's top
lawyers in "The Best Lawyers in America" since 1993. He graduated from
Pomona College in 1971 and received his law degree from the University of
Denver in 1975.
He is a member of the Nevada, Colorado and California bars andserved on the Board of Directors of the INCBA in 2018-19. Segerblom also served on the Board of two publicly traded Cannabis companies, MPX Bioceutical Corporation, a Canadian company, and Freedom Leaf, Inc., which specializes in hemp.
