RICARDO RAMÍREZ-MONTOYA Has a Law Degree from the Ibero-American University, has postgraduate studies in North American Law from Georgetown University, a Master's Degree in Economic History from the Ibero-American University and is a candidate for a Doctor of Business Law from the Complutense University of Madrid. As a consultant in regulation and lobbying, he has participated in the integration and approval of important reforms applicable to the pharmaceutical sector (Compulsory Licenses, Linkage, Biotechnological Medicines, Sanitary Registry of health supplies, Advertising of Medicines, public sector purchases, among others). He has served on the Board of Directors of global companies in the pharmaceutical sector (Sanofi 2009-2013: Product Patrimony Management, Corporate Affairs, Strategic Communications and Public Relations; and Pfizer 2013-2017: Corporate Affairs, Communications, PAG’s and President of the Foundation); currently holds leadership positions in AFAMELA (Executive Director, Board and Advertising Ethics Committee member), Wellness Council México (President of the Government Relations Committee), CANIFARMA (Permanent Guest to the Board of Directors), the Glosbal Self-Care Federation ( Member of the Board of Directors based in Geneva), the Latin American Industry of Responsible Self-Care ILAR (Board Member based in Chicago). The last 15 years he has represented Forbes-100 companies in business organizations such as AMIIF (Technical Vice President of the Public Affairs and Intellectual Property Commissions), AmCham Mexico, the Franco-Mexican Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Vice President of the Social Responsibility Committee), PhRMA (Representative of Mexico in the LARC Regional Committee based in Washington DC), CANIFARMA (President of the Intellectual Property Commission). He was part of the business delegation of CONCAMIN that accompanied the negotiations of the TPP, Pacific Alliance and United States - Mexico and Canada Trade Agreements (USMCA), representing the pharmaceutical sector for the Government Procurement chapters , Intellectual Property and Dispute Resolution Mechanisms. He received the COEBIO Bioethics award in November 2016 and was part of the Qualifying Jury of the National Award for Voluntary and Solidarity Action, delivered by the President of the United Mexican States in December 2016. Since that year he has been a mentor for new entrepreneurs and a jury in the MassChallenge Accelerator (Mexico and Boston) and Startup HUB CDMX from Facebook programs. He is the author of publications on health regulation and legal history, as well as a frequent lecturer in analysis programs on health and business in Mexico and abroad. He is currently the Health Law Committee Chair of the Illustrious and National Collegium of Lawyers of Mexico and Managing Director of Hudde & Rynd, public affairs firm specialized in strategic communications and health regulation.
