Daniel Donauer is a lawyer in the firm's Zurich office and a member of the Product Regulation, Intellectual Property and Litigation & Arbitration practice groups.
Daniel Donauer mainly deals with questions from the field of life sciences. In this context, he advises his clients on both regulatory and procedural issues of health and medical law, in particular product regulation and product implementation for pharmaceuticals and drugs, medical devices, food, alcohol and tobacco products, consumer goods (i.e. cosmetics, objects for human contact, etc .) and chemicals and handles matters relating to advertising law. A special focus of his advice is then in the area of ??health insurance law and in the area of ??nursing care law. In addition, he advises and litigates on intellectual property matters.
Daniel Donauer is an author and publisher of legal books and treatises. He regularly publishes on topics from health and medical law as well as intellectual property law.
Daniel Donauer studied at the University of Bern (BLaw/MLaw) and in a special program focused on health law at the University of Washington in the USA (LL.M. - Academic Excellence Award for the best year's degree). In 2021 he completed a further training program in the field of medical law at the University of Zurich (CAS, Medicine Law). He also received his doctorate (Dr. iur) from the University of Lucerne in 2018.
Before being admitted to the bar in the canton of Zurich in 2016, he worked as a legal trainee at the civil and criminal courts and in a law firm in the canton of Solothurn. He then practiced at the Department of Economics and Home Affairs (DVI) of the Canton of Aargau. Before patenting as a lawyer, he also worked as a legal trainee at one of the leading Swiss commercial law firms in Zurich. After completing his legal internship, Daniel Donauer also worked as a research assistant at the chair for the law of obligations and civil procedure at the University of Lucerne.
Before Daniel Donauer joined MLL, he worked as a lawyer with a focus on health and medical law at one of the leading commercial law firms in Zurich.
He speaks fluent German and English.
